Real Estate Marketing
If you are a home seller you will typically type in “your neighborhood real estate” or something very similar. Your agent is likely to be a local resident who has years of experience in selling home in your neighborhood. If you are that agent then it makes sense to maximize your exposure in local search.
As with any local search optimization project be sure to focus on your keywords. Real estate is a pretty broad term with lots of competition and traffic. Look for the niches you serve. Terms such as residential, multi-family, commercial, vacation, water view, mountain view, and many others will serve to make it easier for targeted sellers to find you.
Next select the keywords appropriate for your selling area. Pick the strongest city (usually the largest, or wealthiest) and use that as your primary geographical keyword.
The combine your specialty and location keywords into the keyword phrases you’ll use to optimize your listing.
